All My Children Names New Head Writer
Big news out of All My Children -- Lorraine Broderick has been named the new head writer. She'll be succeeding David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski, who are no longer with the show.
Lorraine has a long history with All My Children. She first joined the show in 1979, under the guidance of the show's creator, Agnes Nixon. In 1987, she was promoted to head writer, a post she served at for a few years. After some time away from AMC, she returned in 1995 and was head writer for two years (penning such stories as Erica's addiction to pills. Remember that?). In 2009, she returned to AMC as associated head writer.
Ms. Broderick's additional credits include head writing gigs at One Life to Live, As The World Turns, and Guiding Light. She's also served on the writing teams at Days of our Lives and Port Charles. She's a four-time Emmy award winner.

I am so pissed!!!!!!!! I have been watching AMC since it started. Why would you take it off and put some more reality shows!!!! I will not be watching them that is for sure!!!!!! Their is so many bad things going on in this world and you take away a little joy that we have to look foward to everyday!!! THANKS ABC!!!!!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OFF AMC!!!!!!!! Unreal..What are they stupid. The new shows they plan to replace All My Children & One Life to Live sounds terrible. I have been an avid fan of All My Children since the start. I'm sure they will realize that they made a mistake removing the shows. Hopefully some other station will be glad to air the shows. I am very heart broken at not enjoying my favorite show.

ABC is making a SERIOUS!!! mistake cancelling "ALL My Children" and "One Life to Live". I have watched these shows for over 40 years. You are taking away my entertainment and the only shows I watch on TV. ABC will no longer have my loyalty. I hope all the fans voice their anger and frustration with this decision.

NO NO NO NO NO!! David belongs w/ Lisa Colby--2 peas in a pod, Erica & Jack MUST stay together. Tad needs to get back w/ Krystal & Cara has to go. She is a big troublemaker. She had her chance w/ Jake, now move on, how about Caleb? Or Caleb w/ Krystal, but NOT NOT NOT Erica!!
This is so ridiculous! Why on earth would ABC cancel the best soap on TV! Because it moved to CA?? I have been a lifelong fan of this show since I was in HS w/ Erica!! Ran home from school on early days to see it, watched it all the time. Then I went to Nsg School & married & back to work, before VCR's were invented. When they became available to the public, I videotaped it. Now I DVR it, just in case I am not home at 1pm. I am a disabled OR nurse , so I wait for the show patiently every day, or watch it at 1am so I don't miss it. Or of course watch my DVR over & over so I don't miss a thing.

How can u even end a 40 yr run???? This is by far the stupidest decision ABC has made.........Rethink this ABC, or another network will scoop it up & I hope they do, because that is what I will be watching. SHAME ON YOU ABC!!!
For a different channel to pick it up, that would be awesome.
