Why even bother hiring a new writter when they are being cancelled????????????

Why can't the Soapnet Channel pickup AMC & OLTL and to makeup the revenue charge the fans a yearly/monthly fee and make it a sort of pay per view situation?

THus us going to affect millions of peoples lives in a very negative way. We cannot allow this to happen to so many people. Someone needs to step up and stop it.
I think that there is enough outrage and passion out there that if a network wanted to take these soaps on, they would be able to get financial assistance from the fans.

These shows have always been about overcoming tremendous obstacles. In life we are powerless by ourselves but incredibly strong united. There are enough fans out there to fix this, but I do not know how to get everyone together on one platform to save these shows. PLEASE SOJMEONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS WHAT WE CAN DO PLEASE RESPOND WE WILL RUN OUT OF TIME SOON

Why is AMC being terminated in September and OOTL in January? Why can't it be the other way around?

And do the dimwits at ABC really think that ANY stupid show they replace either soap with will have the following and the loyalty the soaps do? Will millions of fans tune in every day of every week of every month year after year?

These new shows will have a shelf life of, what, a year or two? Then they'll be replaced with another then another ad nauseum, and there will never be the same following.

I've been watching AMC since 1971 and can't imagine what I'll do with the hole it will leave in my life.

I'm so with you. I've been watching this with my mom since I was a little girl. And now i'm 20 bout to be 21. And this is what me and my mom do everyday. We watch All My Children! This is what we do Monday through Friday and 1 pm. Because this is the only one I gotten into. My sister-in-law tried to get me into One Life to Live, but it didn't work. I didn't get into it. And it is crap! Your right! Get rid of the new writer and hire someone who will respect the millions of fans. I don't understand why they would do this..

I have been watching ABC for as long as I can remember, even before kindergarten with my mom (may she rest in peace). I only thank god that she's not here to see what you are doing to the only thing she EVER enjoyed on TV.

I love all ABC shows, daytime and nite alike, and will HAPPILY BOYCOTT them too if you take away AMC and OLTL from the million fans that tune in or DVR daily.

Who's idea is this anyway??? Why would you even consider such stupidity? This is a slam on the people who care about you, the actors, and the messages that you pretend to care about... such as bullying, cancer, etc.

Seriously.... DON'T cancel the best thing that has happened to daytime TV over the past century.

well let me tell u my story which u r not going 2 belive me i started watching oltl since i was 5 yrs.old when it was in black in white. when dorin married vicky dad n founded them both in bed ,thats a lond time. when tony was kill that was vicky brother.netc.amc started watching in 1976 @ first it was only 30mi .show n then 1 hr.n if this soaps have a low r, that s because they r not working hurt enough.

been reading all these comments all day long... i wonder if tptb will read any...will they care? then hearing that the stars didnt know till after the announcement....oooh i'd be plenty upset. Dont worry our stars...if you wanna mess up your lines or throw in nasty comments during the shows...we'll forgive ya :)

I can't believe your willing to sacrifice over a million fans for some stupid reality show and food show! This is ludicrous! Do you really want all these people to boycott ABC?? I don't think so! I've been making this post on many different websites, and everyone is complaining and saying they will stop watching ABC! Maybe that's what it will take to save our shows! Please save our shows! There is NO WAY you're going to tell me that you have low ratings! That's crap! You hire a new writer, an he wants to cancel the show! I say get rid of him! ABC you are frigging jerks. I am 61 and have been watching AMC for 41 years. You hire new head writers and then cancel AMC, what the hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Then you say you are replaying it with a food show . HELLO HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF FOODNETWORK> that's just for FOOD. I will boycott ABC during the daytime forever now. You people need a reality check. I have watched AMC since the first day it came on and haven't missed many episodes over the years. The only network I ever watch is ABC, but if they cancel All MY
Children, it is GOODBYE ABC, forever.
