Here's the thing, y'all. We've been trying to stay away from the whole Jon and Kate fiasco, because, well ... sad. It's no surprise that the pressures of a TV show and fame are allegedly tearing this adorable family apart, but it brings us down nonetheless, and really, we're all about the good times here at SOAPnet.com.

There comes a time, however, when the news can no longer be ignored. And that time is now, because (wait for it) TORI SPELLING has weighed in.

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress tells Extra that TLC series "Jon & Kate Plus 8" used to be a favorite of hers. "I loved the fact that they were a normal family; they weren't in Hollywood." But since they've landed "on the cover of People magazine...it seems to have gone to an odd place."

Yes. "Odd." Though really, it's simply gone to a place not unlike Tori's Oxygen series with her hubby Dean, about a famous couple raising their family in the public eye: "Home Sweet Hollywood."

Ruh-roh. Are the Gosselins breaking on Tori's street corner?

While we let our minds dance with visions of a self-fabricated Tori v. Kate showdown, on with the real news -- Tori offered the family of 10 advice that only a seasoned showbiz vet could, telling Extra, "I hope they're prepared for what they are going through and just know that this too shall pass ... Next week, it will be someone else on the cover and you can go about your life."
