April 23rd is a noteworthy date for All My Children fans. It will be the exit of Adam Chandler - played by David Canary since 1983 - from the canvas. First - how will he exit? What does it mean for his family and his wife, Annie? You'll have to tune-in to see (yes, we're shameless). Second, he is leaving behind quite the parting gift- something that will keep Adam's presence on the canvas in a major way (see, we give something).
What this does allow for is a look back at Adam's amazing history in Pine Valley: The dreams, the schemes, the wives. Take a look at our Adam Chandler 101 photo timeline.
Then make sure to share your Adam memories in the comments below!

I have watched David Canary since day one and he is a remarkable actor. We'll miss you David. I knew when I first saw him on Bonanza that he would go far. All My Children will never be the same.
yes Adam |Chandler will be missed I remember his on |Bonanza as Candy too. I missed Palmer's tribute too. &*( well enjoy your retirement and Rest in Peace Palmer! :>(
David Canary!!! I will miss you so much! How are all the rest of your friends and foes in the valley going to survive without you taking them to task or rallying behind them when they need it? Who will ever top your one liners or come close to your dry wit?
Many a day it was you who reminded me of how great actors can make a soap the daily fix of a lifetime for the viewers. I was so glad to read that you have left something behind as a legacy and can't wait to see what it is. I hope you can still come back to visit. Much Love Forever, Karen
David Canary will be greatly missed. Although he was who he was, he brought such charisma to the show. May you live your life to the fullest in your retirement!
Daytime will not see the likes of the late, great James Mitchell (may he rest in peace) and the outstanding David Canary any time soon. AMC was lucky to get them, smart enough to use them and now has some big shoes to fill! Mr. Canary, I hope your life after AMC brings you as much pleasure as you brought your viewers. Both men set a standard of excellence all of daytime should aspire to.
David Canary - You were a joy to watch portraying Adam/Stuart Chandler. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. Good luck and good health in your retirement. If you ever decide to visit Pine Valley you will be welcome.
Best wishes to you and your family.
Adam can't leave the show. I remember watching him on Bonanza as Candy. The show will not be the same without him.
AMC WON'T BE THE SAME WITHOUT ADAM CHANDLER!!!
