Sat, May 21 - 5:30 am

I'M SOOOO SADDDD !!!This makes no sense. We the viewers arent the same type of viewers from yrs gone by.... we actually have a job or two, so we dvr, record or soapnet!!!! That shouldnt take a genious to figure out. I actually give up some of my sleep time, just to be able to watch my soaps I've recorded. Hope "THEY" are listening to us fans!

Gramadiamond..... I soooo agree with you! my D. in law and her friends havent ever watched a soap and dont care tp, they would rather watch those dumb "reality" shows, where fliming a "family" doing there daily life things.... WE DO THAT, why should we watch a strangers family live, fight..etc???? PLEASE DONT TAKE OUR SOAPS AWAY.....BIG MISTAKE

Let's see, I would like to see Bree Williamson win. Then I would like to see Debi Morgan win. And I would like to see Chad Duell win. I don't know about the supporting actor role. Or the leading actor role or the younger actrss role. They should've nominated OLTL instead of GH for best drama. I don't understand why they nominated Maurice Benard and not Anthony Geary. Anthony Geary's role was powerful this year and the last year. The writers of OLTL should've been nominated. Ya noticed that? ABC soaps aren't nominated for best writing team. They could've listed the directing team too. Since OLTL is not nominated for best drama or best writing, I hope they are nominated for best directing. Because geez, they've been having some great episodes lately. Too many storylines. They've been having a lot of shocking twists. Amazing actors. OLTL is better than AMC and GH. GH doesn't have that many storylines.

I am simply APPALLED that they are slowly, but surely, ridding us of all thing SOAP! What they are REALLY doing, is shooting themselves in the foot! While TPTB MAY think that they need to 'target' a new demographic, by 'appealing' to the younger set, the "younger set" are not the ones who go out and buy detergent, house cleaning products, carpeting, furniture, toys, appliances, etc... That would be US--the housewives, and moms, who have homes, children, and pets! The young folks go out and buy what is the cheapest, because all of their REAL money is saved for going out to CLUBS, and nonsense like that!

Who the HELL needs ANOTHER reality/cooking/talk/game/competition show??
I am so sick of watching people 'fight' for whatever the heck the prize is. Running races all over the country, singing and dancing for weeks on end, storming out of a room because you've been eliminated from some contest, or watching a bunch of housewives who have nothing to do, but call each other names, and dress like hookers! What is so exciting about that?

Soaps have been a staple of TV for as long as I remember, and all of the aforementioned shows are the reason that I have been turning to alternative TV choices!

Soap actors and actresses, are some of the hardest working people in the business, and it shows in their performances, not to mention their commitment to their fans!

I hope that TPTB wise up and realize that their BIGGEST audience is in the SOAP category! If a show isn't being watched, it is not necessarily because the show is not good, but because people are out working for a living, and watch when they can. Do you guys really think that a DIFFERENT show is going to matter? When they took "Port Charles" off the air (in my opinion on of the best soaps that we had) and put the news on in it's place, do you REALLY think that all of a sudden people stopped what they were doing every day, to watch the 'extra' 30 minutes of news? I think not! Yet, the extended news show is still going--wassup with that?

You guys need to get your heads out of 'you-know-where', and realize what WE THE FANS really want, and believe me, it is NOT Katie Couric, on yet ANOTHER news show!!! Leave our soaps ALONE!!

Why do they have to take off Soapnet? I watch that channel every nite. That is how we catch up when we have to work. Why do they have to have another childrens channel? That is getting to be al thats on. Kids shows, cooking shows, and talk shows. Don't watch any of those. You need to leave soapnet alone. Personally, I think they are going to loose a lot of viewers when they do this. I guess all of us soap fans are just out of luck. They don't seem to care what we think.

I have been watching soaps since I was 5 years old! I will be 63 in June. In all those years I have NEVER been polled as to what shows I watch. Who is coming up with these numbers of viewers and who in the heck are they asking???? Little by little the "powers to be" are killing TV. More talk shows, more food shows....are you kidding me? Mr. Frons, it is time you come down out of your ivory tower and see that soaps are being watched in the evenings....so put them on soapnet and leave that network alone!!!! I have to pay extra for digital TV so I can get soapnet! But I do it because I love my soaps! Disney please wake up!!!! We want our soaps to continue...maybe instead of getting rid of the soaps...get rid of Brian Frons! Now that sounds like a great idea!!!!

IMHO, the handwriting has been on the wall as to the eventual demise of the daytime soap for some time..there hasn't been a new show the last 12 years..i remember the days when more than one soap premiered the same day..one by one, the longest running shows are being replaced by games, talk and food..having watched soaps the last 43 years, i've realized that much of what's on television today is aimed at a different generation..so the fact that days of 'saving' shows on the wain are over; instead, they're being replaced by something completely different..ugh..i've not been sucked into the 'reality' craze and don't see that i ever will be..the only reality is see is everyone involved getting PAID..it's all about the Benjamins, and nothing more.....
