I am so glad to see Jonathan Jackson back on GH. I remember the last time i seen him. He was so young.He has sure grown into a fine young man I am just going to fine out now what Liz is going to do now.
I'm ready! Make it happen! lol I know it'll take time, but I've waited almost ten years for this, so I can be patient. lol My fav couple with my favorite ORIGINAL PORTRAYERS!! So excited, and nervous that the writers will mess this opportunity up. I hope they look to their past for inspiration, remember why so many fell in love with these two!
I have always loved Jonathan Jackson's original Lucky. Even at a young age, he was able to handle the meaty storylines and go toe to toe with all of PC's actors. But my dilema is Lucky has been written for years as a cheating & abusive spouse, a bumbling keystone cop with a lack of street smarts and a huge inferiority complex when it comes to Jason, Nik & Luke. So will the writers now portray him in a different light and viewers should just 'forget' his history? There has been far too much re-written history on this show with too many characters. And why so many fans cannot simply accept and be trained when this is done.

I agree!! It is about freaken time lol! The character Lucky, as well as the relationship between Lucky and Elizabeth has not been the same since he left.
I know GV fans may be upset, but if they watched GH like me when I was young; watched Lucky grow up, become friends with Emily, struggle with the existance of a half brother he never knew about, struggle with the knowledge of his father's initial rape of his mother, become friends with Elizabeth, help her deal with her rape and watch them fall in love, they would understand what fans like me say when the essence of Lucky's character died when JJ left the show.
Some people are skeptical about whether JJ can step in at such a different point in the show when he left. I think he can. The man won 3 emmys! You don't lose skills like that.
The writers could also use Elizabeth and Nikolaus sleeping together as a turning point in Lucky's life. The love of his life sleeps with his brother??? That's enough to make a man change.
I can't wait until Tuesday! I am so excited! I watched old clips all day yesterday on youtube lol. Cannot wait to see all this chemistry on screen again!
As for the age differences- at the time RH was hired to play Liz, JJ was 16, playing a 16-year-old Lucky. RH was 19, playing a 16-year-old Liz, and I believe Tyler Christopher was about 27, playing 19-20 year old Nicholas. RH was very believable as a 16-year-old, but there was no way I could bring myself to believe TC was 19-20. However, I do love him & his portrayal of Nicholas, so it didn't bother me too much.
So it makes me laugh to read newer veiwers say JJ is too young, since from my perspective, his costars are a little too old!
Also, GV fans should keep in mind- JJ was cast at the age of 11, in part because of his chemistry with Tony Geary. Then TC and especially RH were cast because of their chemistry with JJ. So trust me, there's gonna be chemistry bubbling right out of your tv screen, all over your living room floor, LOL!
If your heart doesn't melt when Jon's beautiful blue eyes fill with tears, I suspect you may not have one... but I may be a little biased, hee.
I started watching GH years ago, because of all the DOOL actors I was already familiar with. There are so many terrific actors on GH, but JJ stole my heart, and "that's a permanent lock." And btw, I'm old enough to be his mother, so no one was more surprised than me.
I'm sorry to say, I stopped watching GH when they replaced JJ with another actor. I tried, I really did, so I do understand what you GV fans are going through. But I have followed Jon's career closely since he left GH 10 years ago, and will watch anything that he's cast in. Will Greg Vaughn fans be able to say the same thing, 10 years from now? Or will most of them have moved on to the latest Hunk of the Month?
I am so thrilled. I could never get use to Greg as Lucky.

so many crush on this man! lol I'm all for depth and chemistry. GV is good looking but the chemistry was never there, no one's fault, it just is what it is. Can't believe the bashing on looks has already begun. Perfection and big sculpted bodies everywhere is not reality. lol I want REAL, I want SUBSTANCE.
I've been watching old clips in my spare time, but I've done that off and on for years since he left. LL2 was my first crush, my first "it" couple, I rushed home after school to watch these two. I hope fans can give him a chance, and not blame him for GV's contract not getting renewed. I have no doubts to Becky and Jonathan being fantastic again. the chemistry with these two was off the charts, their part of the LL2 relationship was the last pure and truly romantic pairing GH has ever done, their vows WOW. If the writers do them justice and actually try and write something original becky and jon can handle the rest, that I have no doubts about! They need to watch vintage clips for inspiration! For Classic Ll2 fans, here's a great mvid with many of their best moments squished into 6 awesome minutes!!
