Gay characters on OLTL, Y&R, ATWT ... we smell a trend.

Oliver Fish ("One Life to Live)
Our favorite beat cop, Oliver Fish, tried to suppress his true feelings by sleeping with Stacy and romancing Layla. But he finally came out, to his friends, family, even at work.
The "writers" of ALL soaps have an agendy why foring all of the gay storylines on us. I don't care if you are gay, but have "tolorence" for those who disagree with you and move on!
Ditto. Every time I turn around, there is a new gay storyline on Soaps or a new primetime show that feels that they have to include gay people. If you choose to be gay, then fine, but I don't think that I should have to be subjected to it all the time.
I applaud Patricia Mauceri (Carlotta Vega) for refusing to be "gay friendly". Her character would not support something like that. I still can't believe that OLTL let her walk out. Did they really feel that Carlotta's character HAD to feel this way? I can't see that something like this would be that important to the show anyway. They should have changed the script to keep her. She was on the show for a very long time and it will be very difficult to accept another actress in that role.
Yeah, everyone has rights no matter their age, race, sexual preference, etc. & Patricia had every right to stand up for HER beliefs.
For all of you who are gay, I completely understand that you would want a storyline like this, something that you can relate to, so I hope that it somehow helps you in some way. If it does, then I guess the storyline accomplished something positive.
However, for me, I guess I'll turn the channel since that is my preference. BTW, a man & a woman being together is as NORMAL as it gets, as that is what GOD intended for us, however, despite how I feel about it, I truly wish everyone the best in life NO MATTER WHO you are with!
Soaps cover all types of people, and I can watch a gay story
line, but I hope they limited it to hugs and kisses and no bed-
room action. I was not please to see the bedroom scenes on
Passions.

Couldn't have stated this any better. Bravo to Blessings 486.
So far DOOL has left the gay storyine out of their writeup.
I believe in real family storylines as they have done over forty years.

I knew he'd be the other guy that's why they didn't get rid of him!!
I had a feeling that was going to happen!
